It is the developer and creator of CDMA technology, MediaFLO digital television, and BREW, an application platform supported by most CDMA handsets sold in North America. Qualcomm previously manufactured CDMA handsets, but sold that part of its business of to Kyocera, which then formed Kyocera Wireless.
